In three separate moves, Chrysler is recalling a total of nearly a quarter of a million vehicles.
The smallest of the recalls is for 30,000 2012 Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot SUVs that could have been fitted with defective gas tank hoses. The second smallest recall is calling home 78,500 Jeep Liberty and Dodge Nitro SUVs from model years 2007 and 2008. Their drive shafts might break. Meanwhile, the grand daddy of the three recalls is for 139,000 2012 Dodge Challengers, Dodge Chargers, Chrysler 300s due to the possibility that they have faulty warning lights for their air bags.
Chrysler is contacting the owners of these vehicles to ask them to take their possibly faulty vehicles to a Chrysler dealer for inspection and repair.
